From our growers to your kitchen
Turmeric is at the heart of everything we make, from our Taka teas to our capsules. Now you can cook with the same organic turmeric.
We have bought from the same organic farms in Karnataka since 2015. Knowing the people behind every harvest keeps the quality high and the supply chain short.
How to use it
Curries and dals: ½ to 1 tsp with the onions and garlic, before the liquid goes in.
Golden rice: ½ tsp stirred into the water before the rice goes on.
Roasted veg: toss with ½ tsp and a little oil before roasting.
Soups and stews: ½ tsp early, so it has time to mellow.
Turmeric latte: whisk ½ tsp into warm milk with a pinch of cinnamon.
Golden paste
Warm ½ cup (about 60g) of turmeric with 1 cup (250ml) of water over a gentle heat, stirring for 7 to 10 minutes until thick and glossy. Take it off the heat and whisk in ⅓ cup (70ml) of coconut, olive or flaxseed oil and 2 tsp of freshly ground black pepper. Cool, then keep in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Stir a teaspoon or two into hot milk for a golden latte.
Ingredients: 100% organic turmeric root powder (Curcuma longa). Nothing added.
Storage: reseal after opening and keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
